Here is another quick tutorial on how to remove the “Powered by WordPress” from Jetpack Mobile Theme footer. This time instead of editing the “header.php” we are going to look at the “footer.php” in the Jetpack folder.
What you will need prior to starting;
-Access to your site via FTP. You can accomplish this using FileZilla on Mac or Windows.-
***AS WITH ALL EDITS TO YOUR ORIGINAL FILES, PLEASE SAVE A COPY OF YOUR FILE PRIOR TO EDITING***
- Using the FTP File Manager of your choice as I stated in my other tutorial, you will want to find your way to the following folder and edit the “footer.php” file;
- After you have found the file footer.php in the directory above, you want to navigate to id=”site-generator” . Once you find that you can choose to do one of two things. Keep the “Powered by” statement and replace it you just edit where it says ‘WordPress’ after the ‘jetpack’ statement below.
- Alternatively you can have the entire “Proudly powered by WordPress” line deleted by completely removing the following code out of the footer.php file;
minileven’ , ‘jetpack’); ?>” rel=”generator”>
